Jeff has been an investment analyst and portfolio manager since joining our profession straight from college. He has appeared on Bloomberg TV and Radio, and has been quoted in Bloomberg News, the Chicago Tribune, Crain's Chicago Business, the Baltimore Business Journal, and The New York Times.

At Buttonwood, he conducts detailed investment research on all sectors of the economy, keeping a constant watch on the investments the firm owns and the opportunities it does not. So, when clients' needs intersect with a market opportunity, the firm is ready.

"Knowing how to value a business and how to think about market prices are the most important aspects to demystifying investments. My goal is to find growing businesses that trade for less than they are worth.”

Jeff was raised in Maryland’s Montgomery County and currently resides in Towson with his wife, Skye, and three young children.

Love of music is a Malcom family affair. Jeff plays bass guitar in several bands, Skye plays violin, and their son plays piano and sings. On occasion, his family will join him on stage.
